Hi, I’m Reuben — the maker behind Whittlewood Workshop.
I am an 18 year old university student based in Auckland, New Zealand, with a passion for woodworking, craftsmanship, and creating beautiful handmade tools that are made to last. What began as a small hobby in my workshop slowly grew into Whittlewood Workshop — a small business focused on handcrafting premium wooden crochet hooks.
Every crochet hook is individually shaped, sanded, polished, and finished by hand using carefully selected timbers. I love working with unique woods, especially rare and richly coloured species that give every piece its own character and story.
My goal is simple: to create crochet hooks that not only look beautiful, but also feel comfortable, smooth, and inspiring to use for years to come.
Running Whittlewood Workshop also helps support me while studying at university after moving away from home to pursue my education. Every order directly supports a small handmade business and allows me to continue creating from my little workshop.
